I got this for my Jeep Grand Cherokee and to have on hand whenever we drive through the mountains during winter time, as required by law. I like that it has an easy cincher for a quicker application, that thee chains appear to be a good quality, but also the case is easy to keep them in, keep closed and has a slim profile for putting under the seat and leaving until you need them. These are rally heavy, so you know the quality is there. Bonus is the included gripping gloves that I can keep in the case and use as needed, great to have on hand in the car.

These snow chains are seriously impressive. I picked them up for my AWD RAV4 to handle weekend mountain trips and the occasional city-wide snowpocalypse. With our steep, hilly roads, it’s good insurance when ice turns asphalt into a slip-and-slide. A few things to note: • Snow chains aren’t built for speed—it is best to keep it under 30 mph. • These are heavy, which bodes well for durability. • Made of thick alloy manganese steel, they include an auto-fixing device that makes installation refreshingly simple. • The kit comes with two chains, replacement buckles, work gloves, a sturdy carrying case, and a user guide that’s actually readable. I’ll be storing these in the back of my SUV, ready for whatever winter throws my way.

I had high hopes for this but in the end feel I have to give this a one-star review. First, it appears the product is a prior return. One of the clasps that holds the case closed is broken/missing, there are no instructions, gloves, or replacement buckles included (per the product page), and the two chains were mixed together and took a bit of messing with to get separated. Second, I have questions about the quality of the materials. The chain parts themselves feel too light relative to their size. In the absence of any product specs about strength, these feel more like a dog collar I once had break with a medium pull than any prior snow chain I have ever put on my car. Third, I have questions about the design. For the cable part where each connects seems strong enough, but there is nothing to keep it from backing out an separating. Once the unit is tight on your wheel, I assume that doesn't matter, but if anything losened, I could see this being a dangerous problem. In additions, while the auto locking mechanism seems good and very useful, where the chains connect (see the picture with the blue clip) on the other side, it isn't clear where you clip. I would have thought the blue clip would connect both the heavier links while there would be some clip for the yellow links for tension. That said, there are no instructions so I have no idea. Also, I used the transparency app on the QR code on the front of the product and that page has no additional information or manuals. Why do manufacturers send out product with damaged boxes, missing parts and no instructions for for reviews? I don't get that.

I have always lived in southern California so needing chains was never an issue. When I moved to the pacific northwest, where it does snow suddenly, it became a safety concern. Since I have never put chains on I read the instruction manual and also reviewed some You Tube videos so that I could acquaint myself. After a few attempts at installing I did get the hang of it so now it shouldn't be a problem. The chains appear to be well made and suited for doing the job. It comes with a set of gloves which you will need. I would suggest that you purchase some waterproof gloves that are heavy duty and have grips so that you can have when installing. I would also bring a bag for the gloves so that once they are wet they can be stored. The chains do come in a case so storing them is a breeze. I haven't used them as of yet but when the time comes I feel that I will be equipped to deal with the task at hand. They provide you with 2 sets of chains so you will need to order 2 of these for your vehicle.

I won't be using this until winter snow comes. I did a dry fit in driveway and they are perfect fit. Good quality material used to make these. Easy to install just follow instructions. They work well and are a great value to keep you on the road and safe. I recommend and anyone old or young can put these on.

So these here are snow and ice traction chains they are meant to be installed on your wheels and tires for better traction in the bad elements ice snow etc... they do come in a plastic case and everything is included in the case as well as instructions and gloves for better handling, I personally picked the Hn-140 size/type and the sizes of the chains differ so you need to check the second last picture I have added to show you what chains go on what size of tire and believe me you do want to get the right ones otherwise if you just pick whatever then the chains will not fit because too small or will fall off because too big so take that into consideration. I personally like these chains because they fit my truck and they are quite easy to put on and off the wheel, so if your driving up north in the winter or sliding on ice then perhaps you should invest in your safety and try these out even if you have them in your car it's always safer to be prepared in my opinion anyway so think about it and enjoy.

I grew up in paces where it snows, a lot, and I have been helping with the chains since I was teen before getting my own car, so I am certain when I say that these are a great set of tire chains. The metal is thicker than any others we haven seen of this same type. These chains fit our F150's tires as per the chart here in the listing perfectly. The tensioners work equally as well and are very strong. The whole set, once on the tires, feels as durable as any other set of similar chains we have ever owned. We are required to carry chains here year round and we really do need them to get out for a few months of the year, and I can assure you that is really straight forward to get them adjusted perfectly. With this type of chain tensioners, the need for bungees is nonexistent. The tensioners will retract if any slack is created as you start to roll your car. So, after just a few revolutions your chains are both tight and evenly spaced, if installed correctly. Never let the links point inward at the outer ring (see image), look for any signs of twisted chain as there should be none when correctly installed and be sure that all six points of attachment are correct before resuming travel. Never exceed 30MPH with tire chains and try to stay slow for the long-life of your chains depends on this. With how easy this type of chain is to install, the high quality and the great price, this set of tire chains is an outstanding value, in my opinion.

This review is for the installation only I haven't used them in the snow yet I wanted to see if they would fit my tires first before I drove in the snow. The chains were easy to put on easier than other chains I've had once I figured it out it took me less than 5 minutes to install it on the other tire. There was a strip of chain that was a little loose but I believe it tightens up automatically while driving in the snow.

I bought these because I know how bad Western New York can get with lake effect snow. I've been in situations where gridlock and idling cars melt the snow on the road just enough for it to turn into a sheet of ice. Then people get stuck and make deep ruts that are nearly impossible to escape when there’s no traction. This is happening more often, so I decided to get this set for my van. I'm comparing it to another highly rated set that I haven’t had to use yet, but after inspecting the contents and test fitting one wheel, I can easily say this set is an excellent value. It’s pretty easy to install, and I really appreciate the storage case that keeps everything neat and ready to go. The automatic self-tightening design worked well, and the size chart led me to a perfect fit. The parts are about what you’d expect for this price range, durable but not built to last forever.

Optimist Prime Nov 09, 2025 United States

These are a good set of snow chains. I really like the auto fixing feature that automatically finds the perfect tension to keep the chains on your tire without over tightening. Installing snow tires is never easy, it's a dirty business, but these are straight forward to put on. I didn't even need to read the instructions because they are similar to another set of snow chains that I own. I imagine that these will last for several seasons in the ice and snow. I really like the sturdy container that they are stored in. I've had trouble closing and securing the cheaper snow tour containers but this container is great and secure. I drive a 2917 Toyota Prius V and these snow chains in size HN90 fit my 205 60R16 tires perfectly.

We live the Maritime Provinces where the weather changes in a flash from snow to freezing rain within minutes. Even having the best snow/ Ice tires available today sometimes just doesn't help in extreme conditions. Being retired, I normal try to avoid traveling in a store, but sometimes I have found I needed to do so in the thick of things. Having the Quick Install Tire Chains is a great peace of mind. They are made from thick alloy manganese steel in a twisted-chain design that help sits closer to the tire. This low-clearance design helps with low-profile vehicles from sticking the fender well and the auto adjust keeps the tire chain tight until released. The way you can quickly install these tires chains is to practice installing them before you need them, rather then the day you do trying to read the instructions in a snow storm wondering why they won't fit. Before ordering the tire chains, make sure you choose the correct size. The Tire Chains comes in a nice compact, low profile plastic case that can fit under you seat. The case holds the set of (2) or pair of tire chains as well as Instructions and work gloves. They are a great fit and the chains doesn't rub on my rims. These Tire Chains are a great peace of mind when traveling during the winter season knowing you will get where you're going when you have to. When comparing the price of tire chains at the automotive or the major big box stores, this is a great value when safety is on your mind.

G Reviews Nov 11, 2025 Canada

These are an excellent set of tire chains for your car. Remember, you only get a pair, so if you have 4x4 or need additional traction, make sure you purchase two sets. They're relatively easy to install once you watch the video and practice on your car. I've never used tires before so I don't know what to expect but at least I know I won't get stuck in ice like many others. Everything comes packed in a case and you even get gloves which are handy but not really warm. I recommend you get a different pair of waterproof gloves, there are quite a few here on Amazon that are specifically for wearing in winter. The chains seem to be of good quality, once the tensioner is in place and you drive a little bit, the chains fit snuggly and shouldn't move. Make sure you pick the right size. This manufacturer has two different models, HN-130 and XM-130; the chains appear to be different, flat in one case and twisted in the other but I imagine they serve the same purpose. This is one of those things that you hope you'll never have to use but will be glad you have if they're ever needed.

Hydropsyche Nov 11, 2025 Canada

I ordered these chains as a bit of insurance against those unexpected bad situations you occasionally find yourself in. I avoid driving in those conditions and watch the forecast closely but I sometimes have to travel over mountain passes and you just never know what you will encounter. I don’t think these are designed for highway speeds. More for slow and steady progress, so only put them on when needed and take them off as soon as the need passes. For that, these are perfectly designed. I like the ease in putting them on, allowing for small adjustments to ensure you get a tight fit. You don’t have to move/drive over the chains. You can install them at a complete stand still (like when you are stuck in snow/mud?). The illustrated instructions are very good, leaving no doubt or confusion. The case is great and compact enough to keep in your vehicle year round. I haven’t driven on them yet, so can’t comment on functionality or durability but if it’s used just once, I feel they would pay for themselves. Make sure you get the right size, practice installing them and hope you’ll never have to use them. If you do, I’m confident they will get you through a sticky situation. Recommended.

PRO's: • Very well made tire chains. • Quick installation with easy to understand directions (practice before you need to use them though!). • Compact storage in a sturdy case. CON's: • The sizing chart is not all inclusive. You will need to know tire dimensions to confirm compatibility if your tire size is not included in the table. I took a chance as my tire dimensions were not in the table and it turns out the HN-140 is too small for my tires by about 2\" of diameter. The HN-140 will fit 27.7 - 30.0\" diameter tires, and I'm currently running 32.1\" diameter tires. (No star deductions as they do work exactly as intended.)

Great tire chains! It took me a while to figure out how exactly to install them as the instructions are a bit vague and sometimes inaccurate, but in the end, it is actually easy. For me the key was to align the small red tube portion with the center of the tire. It's a little tricky as that tube portion is behind the tire when you're aligning but I figured it out on the second try. I don't know about a 1 minute install but I think that with enough practice you could get one chain installed in about that time. The best part of the chains is the method of attachment. It's really clever the way they did it and it makes for a simple and easily adjustable system. It isn't hard to install the chains and have them all the parts be nicely tensioned so they don't come loose. I took the car for a brief drive (as we don't currently have snow on the ground) and the chains felt solid. When I parked I checked the tension and it all looked good. Overall I have no trouble recommending these chains. Good product.

With this cold winter season coming up I absolutely had to get new chains for my tires so as soon as I saw these I had to scoop it up. This came very well packed and secured and everything was exactly as described in the ad even down to the measurements so it fit exactly in the space I had for it. Nothing was missing or damaged from delivery and it was all in great condition. My husband went ahead and installed them just to see if they would fit right and we were very pleased to see that it was a super easy and straightforward installation and everything fit exactly as expected. No slippage the design is excellent it's super durable and you get plenty of traction! Definitely the perfect thing to have during the snowy icy winter! Solid 10 out of 10 great quality product and worth every penny

Huda MacDowell Nov 20, 2025 United States

Good quality snow chain set. Can get you out of a jam when stuck in the snow. Install is easy and straight forward. Gets you plenty of added traction. Not for high speed use. Works well at low speeds. Stores easily in the trunk of your car. Definitely a must have. Check fitment carefully for your tire size.

Phebus Nov 23, 2025 Canada

Although I don't anticipate needing these frequently in my area, I appreciate having them available for when I travel north during the winter months, particularly to Quebec and New Brunswick. I previously owned a pair for my last vehicle that was slightly cheaper than this set, but they were certainly inferior. The installation process for these has significantly improved how long it takes, allowing for much easier installation. While it may still take more than the advertised minute, more like 2-5 minutes per tire on average, it is still an improvement over my previous ones. I would definitely suggest these.

Pete Nov 29, 2025 Canada

We have a cottage that is winter 'accessible' meaning there's a road, but its plowed so infrequently we're often walking the last 300m out of fear of getting the car stuck. We have great winter tires, but there are some rather steep sections and water run off issues that can sometimes result in ice below the snow. Last season I had opted to give the road a try and ended up stuck - having to back my way out and taking up most of our morning. This season I came equipped with these tire chains and was able to navigate the road (with ice!) with very little drama. Installation is easy, and takes about 30s a tire once you're gotten the hang of it. The tensioner allows you to fit them snuggly with confidence that they're locked in place. Removal is dead simple too, though I recommend gloves because the release does need some pressure to actuate, and after use those latches are super cold and messy. I really like that the carry case is sturdy and large enough that you won't have trouble fitting all 4 chains back in after using them. As for how they perform on the car... the grip increase is quite dramatic. I have Haakapelita snows on an AWD EV, chainless - the car performs well in snow and slush, but on slopes with ice - the weight of the EV overcomes the snow tires quite abruptly sometimes. With the chains, the car is just anchored. One weekend I left them on for the run into town, at speeds above 20km/h the noise gets pretty intense, and above 50km/h the vibration from the tire force variation and dynamic wheel imbalance gets to the point that I don't want to push any faster. All that said, tire chains are not a high speed device, they're for getting you through those apocalyptic road conditions safely and confidently.

Heavy duty snow chains! Make sure to check tire size before purchasing since it wont work as its supposed to if it does fit nicely. Easy to use and great to have in car jn case of heavy snow emergencies 👍

On the farm Dec 04, 2025 Canada

I’ve had other chains in the past, and I like this system better. The old style of chains I had would use another set of chain for both the inner and outer ring connections, but the chain doesn’t hold it’s form at all compared to the cabling used on thinner ring for this set. The other feature I love is the autotensioner, which makes completing the setup much more straightforward as you don’t really need to go back and retension the chains after pulling forward a few times like regular chains. Lastly, on the negatives, the chain weight is arguably normal, but not particularly heavy duty, I think they’ll do you well in occasional situations but if you have to be driving up and down mountains in the snow all the time, you might just need studs (but those’ll cost way more).

Anna Hayes Dec 06, 2025 Canada

The reusable design is excellent, offering durable and reliable traction chains for multiple winter uses. Installation is easy, making them perfect for unexpected snow and ice.

Luna MacDowell Dec 07, 2025 Canada

These snow chains have been a fantastic safety accessory to have on you at all times, especially if a heavy snowstorm hits and the roads become icy and slick. Living in the mountains, this situation happens often, and most people are not prepared. I’ve had traditional chains in the past, and they have been stressful and a bit of a struggle to put on, whereas these can be installed in under five minutes without fumbling around or lying under your vehicle. The standout feature on these snow chains is the auto-fixing mechanism, which tightens and secures the chains to your wheels. The chains will grip icy roads, and provide the traction you need while preventing slippage to get you to your destination safely. I do like the design of these chains, as they have the crisscross diamond pattern that covers more surface area of the tire, and helps with stability. Overall, these chains are extremely portable, effective and will give you peace of mind while driving in the mountains.

JC Dec 11, 2025 United States

I tried these quick-fit snow chains during a light snowstorm, and they were surprisingly easy to get on, took me barely a minute per tire. They add a noticeable boost in traction on icy patches, and I like that they’re reusable and compact enough to keep in the trunk. They’re not a full replacement for heavy-duty chains, but for emergency situations or unexpected bad weather, they’re super practical and reassuring to have on hand. Material looks durable

Bizzy Owner Dec 15, 2025 United States

These were actually more complicated than regular chains. First of all, it took forever just to get them all untangled straight out of the box. Secondly the video has multiple errors in it and needs to be completely redone. Thirdly even the written instructions are not correct and the colors aren¡¯t not as listed. Also the pictures are way too small. These are much more difficult to remove than regular chains and all the hooks catch on everything. Be ready to seriously crawl under the car to get these off. These were a disaster to put on and takeoff in good weather. I cannot imagine dealing with these in inclement weather

Nick Dec 17, 2025 United States

These tire snow chains are a total WIN for winter driving. They come in a sturdy carrying case with gloves, extra hooks, and everything you need. Installation is legit super quick once you practice (which I recommend doing atleast once): hook the three points, drive a bit, and the ratchet auto-tightens as you go, no bungees required. The metal is thick and durable, way better than cheaper ones I’ve used, and they fit my SUV perfectly per the size chart. Great traction on snow and ice, and easy to rinse off and store after. Might corrode a little in heavy salt areas, so use only when needed and keep speed under 30 mph. Haven’t had to chain up in an emergency yet, but living in the mountains this gives the peace of mind knowing I won’t get stuck or stranded in a ditch. Rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Jessica L-H Dec 22, 2025 Canada

Bought this to keep in my trunk for the winter I'm used to driving trucks but my work moved 1 hour away so not too happy about driving a little car, let alone in the winter. First time using these chains wasn't even on my car. I put them on a caravan (with BALD tires... and I do mean bald) stuck at the bottom of a steep hard packed snow/ice hill took less than 5 mins a tire, first time putting chains on. Climbed that hill with no hesitation. Chains were nice and tight at the top of the hill. He struggled for a good hour and wasn't getting anywhere, and with these chains it took all of 10-15 mins including installing. The added gloves were a nice touch, I was going to do it bare handed so popped it open and was pleasantly suprised, simple addition but very helpful. A+

shayne cotter Dec 28, 2025 United States

Good chains for getting out of a jam. Construction of chains seem very durable. Will fit many size tires. Work well for getting unstuck, but the 3 star rating is due to the fact they seem not like to stay in place after driving very far.

The AUVEBY Snow-Chains Auto Fixing 1 Min Quick Fit Easy Installation Tire-Chains, Portable Reusable Universal Emergency Tire Traction Chain for Passenger Car, Pickup Trucks and SUV - Set of 2 (HN-130) are a serious upgrade in snow-chains. These snow- chains arrive in a slim, hard plastic case with a sticker indicating their size on the front of the case. This set contains everything that you need; Includes 1 pair of snow chains, 1 pair of work gloves, a set of replacement buckles, and a clear user guide. These snow-chains are easy to care for as they only require a good rinsing and being air dried before being stored in their case for their next use. While I admit that I haven't driven on them yet, as there's not any snow on the ground, I can say that they are truly easy to install and just as easy to remove. They're already in my vehicle waiting to be needed. I do recommend these easy to install snow-chains

Aliwanderer Jan 04, 2026 Canada

Snow-Chains Auto Fixing is one of those purchases you don¡¯t think you need until you do. I found myself twice in need of these in the past and I did not have them and so when I was wondering whether to order I asked myself what is the likelihood of needing it again. But that¡¯s the thing you never know so it is great to have in the trunk of your car when you do and hope that when you do switch cars they will be the same size needed. I do love how they colour coordinated the parts; it does make it easier to follow the instructions however, as much as I read it, their video is better and is best to download. I¡¯ve been practicing putting these on but I know I¡¯ll forget when the time comes. It is pretty easy to put on though all things considered (but definitely not 1 min). The self tightening mechanism is pretty good but honestly I do not see that lasting due to it being plastic and the location on the outer wheel (and not a fan of the yellow button). It is hard to test without snow at the moment how the chains cut through but they do seem okay.

Michael Kenna Jan 04, 2026 United States

I got this in preparation for winter. It is definitely not as easy to put on and I am still getting used to it. I am used to the ones you lay out in front of your tire then driving over it and then clipping together. This one, you have to maneuver around the tire and then clip it on in the tire well and make sure the chains are all in position before tightening the outer side. It does work well once you get it on but it is kind of hard to do unless you know what you are doing or have practiced before. It looks like it will offer good traction and looks durable too. Only time will tell but for now, its decent and fits the intended tire size well.
